Tracker coming soon! (Apparently)
I love eastern airsoft websites. Not only are they usually rammed to the gunnels with cool stuff, but they often have the most adorable Chinglish… I just spotted this on ebairsoft.com, it appears to be some kind of iPhone app, and “may be free”! I don’t know if I’ve got the bottle to take my iPhone skirmishing though!

Which period guns would you most like to see in mass production?
We were pleased to hear at the IWA Show in Germany that ICS are finally looking to release their M3 “Grease Gun” this year with an M1 Garand in the pipeline! As more and more of us are rolling out regularly to historically themed games we thought it might be interesting to see what other period AEGs everyone would like to see.
We’re going to make the assumption here that these would all be AEGs (even the “bolt actions”, we can only dream!), all 6mm, and all with real/mid capacity magazines.
This is just our own list of models we definitely know are not in production (although we know there are some custom models of many), and we’re certain there are other models out there that some of you would like, but let’s get the ball rolling with these particular classics.
Please vote for multiple models if you like, and we’ll pass our findings on to the manufacturers!
We’ve reached 100 posts already!
Well, that’s a bit of a landmark isn’t it? This is the 100th post on the blog, so thanks to all you readers out there. It does make me think though, as nice as it is to have an immediate influx of information to digest from the internet, sometimes it is nice to have a real, paper magazine or printed product to browse through.
Is it just me getting old, or, as nice as they are, does sitting on the can reading from your iPhone just not feel quite right? Maybe it’s just the fear of dropping your £400 lifeline to the social world down the funnel, but there’s something special about flicking open a copy of your favourite publication and having a nice bit of quiet time. Before you go and get any ideas, we are talking solely about Ai here, you dirty gits! In case you’ve been hiding in a bush in your ghillie for the last week, you’ll notice there’s a new issue on sale NOW.

| New issue on sale now! |
Well, I managed 100 posts without resorting to talking about the toilet, but I had to cave in at one point. On a lighter, less vulgar note, there’s a new wallpaper up and available to download. A huge thanks to Dan Collister and Bill Pryce-Thomas for donning the kit and making it one of our favourite photo shoots of recent times. thanks also to the ever helpful guys at Fire Support for keeping our cups of tea topped up and making us most welcome whilst we romped around in their garden.

On top of that, there’s the weekend coming… April 2nd sees the first Ai 5-Man tournament event, and if I’m not mistaken, there’s still space to book in, take part and be in the running to win HEAPS of great kit supplied by our generous sponsors.
Carbine kits…
Carbine kits, or “carbean” kits, depending on how much Magpul Dynamic training you have, let you convert a handgun to something more manageable for firing at targets accurately. They are not a new idea, the venerable Browning Hi-Power originally had a large wooden stock that could be fitted, and stock attachments have been available for pistols like the Beretta M93r for ages.
The airsoft world has seen a recent influx of carbine conversion kits, mostly for the full-auto capable Glock 18C… The recently reviewed HERA Arms version and of course the Magpul FPG spring to mind, both quirky but largely agreeable in their styling… This particular carbine kit really is horrible though. I present to you the
A.P.S. Caribe Action Combat Carbine Kit. It makes my face hurt, it’s that horrible!

A quick poll on teams…
The social aspect of airsoft is probably one of my favourite parts, but do you play as a team? Take our quick poll so we know how most of you attend games.
Of course, you probably already know but the Ai 5-Man team event is coming up quickly, and spaces are limited, so click the link and get booked if you fancy the chance to compete against others AND win awesome prizes.
If you do have a team already, and want to get some exposure, remember there’s always the regular “Ready Room” feature in Ai. Check it out for more details on how you can take part.
Forget the FPG, this thing is actually a stapler!
We all know our airsoft replica guns are nowhere near as robust as the real things, right? Well, these things might change your opinions on the matter… I probably wouldn’t try making any of these at home, as these appear to be evidence photos, indicating they might not have been so succesful.

| Some sort of tactical hammer? |
![]() |
| Looks like there might actually be some engineering in this one… |
![]() |
| Ah, the old double barrel break action design… but with added plank. The tactical torch is a nice touch though! |
![]() |
| When your barrel is held in place with a hose clamp, you are in business. |
![]() |
| Cutting down a rifle to make a bolt action pistol. Classic idea. |
![]() |
| Part stapler, part bent piece of radiator. I’d have my doubt about the accuracy of this one. |

| Twig blasters? |
![]() |
| Somebody is taking this too seriously, some of these look like actual tools might have been used! |

Tactical Canned Bacon
Sometimes, mid skirmish, you really need some bacon. You just can’t do without it, but until now bacon has only been available in a decidedly untactical format. What we really need is TACTICAL bacon. Bacon that’s more dynamic and more combat ready. Step forward Think Geek and a cracking product that’s been missing from the tactical range for a long time. Tactical Canned Bacon.
![]() |
| LOOK! There’s even a picture of a GUN on the can. |
Now, to some the thought of canned bacon might be as unnecessary as frozen chopped onions or even bags of grated cheese, but obviously those people have never been in a high-stress, simulated combat environment. Obviously, the survivalists out there have caught wind of Tactical Canned Bacon and unfortunately it’s out of stock, but fear not, Think Geek expect a new shipment in April. With a 15 year shelf life, I think you’re clear to stock up.
